Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is reminding business operators that the extension for filing GCT returns for the month of June expires on Friday, August 15, 2014.
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is set to begin paying Income Tax refunds directly into bank accounts instead of making payments by cheques. An Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Project is now being piloted to accommodate the change. Beginning August 2014, individuals claiming a PAYE (Pensioners, etc) Income Tax refund will be required to submit their banking details in order to receive their refunds electronically.
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is advising that it has extended the due date for filing the GCT return for June, which was due on July 31, to August 15, 2014. Registered Taxpayers will therefore have up to Friday, August 15 to file their tax return for June 2014, without any interest or penalty being charged.
