Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) will be conducting an enhancement of its Revenue Administration Information System (RAiS). The upgrade which takes effect on Tuesday August 8, 2017 will enhance the user experience of taxpayers registered to use TAJ’s eService facility.
The most significant change will be in the appearance of the user interface, which is cleaner with reorganized information tiles for added convenience and ease of use. Additionally, how the user interacts with several system options will also change, these include:
- Updated Account Window
- Updated Payment Window
The following new features have also been added:
- Account Settings Window
- Period Window
- Manage Payments and Returns function
To assist taxpayers with making a smooth transition to doing even more with RAiS, TAJ has developed a user guide with details of the changes, and which is available at www.jamaica.gov.jm under the “How To” tab.
During the transition period RAiS eServices will be suspended for maintenance between 7 p.m. on Friday, August 4 to 7 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8.
Persons may also get additional support through the Customer Care Centre at 1-888-829-4357, contacting their Client Relationship Manager or visiting the Taxpayer Education Unit located in the Kingston, Constant Spring, Mandeville and Montego Bay Tax Offices.
The enhancements to the RAiS web platform will allow taxpayers to conduct transactions with greater security, ease and convenience. Customers are therefore encouraged to register and use the enhanced online tax services.
