The following guide contains user changes to the eServices platform.

These changes will be implemented on September 10, 2018


1. Changes to Context Panel and E-Services Banner

  • The context panel no longer includes the web logon.
  • The “Settings” hyperlink located in the context panel has been moved to the e-Service banner beside the ‘Back to TAJ Tax Portal’ header hyperlink.
  • The Name of the User who is logged on is also now displayed in the e-Service banner.

 2. Changes to logon settings

  • The "Logon settings" tab has been renamed to "Profile".
  • A "Manage Third Party Access” link has been added in the "I Want To" section. This functionality was previously accessed via the "Manage Additional Logons" option

3. Managing Logons

     Users can now filter for specific logins by typing a part or the entire name of the logon in the filter field provided.

The “I Want To” section has been added and includes the “Manage Access” and “Deactivate Access” hyperlinks. These links replace the “Cease” and “Manage” links

that previously existed. Additionally, these links allow the user responsible for managing the customer’s eService account to grant access and de-activate access to

other users as required.

The options to “Grant Access” and “Cancel Access” have been added. These options replace the green and red radio buttons that the user could select.

If the user already has access to a specific tax account, the option is available for this access to be updated by selecting the access level link and then

updating the access as required.

4. Logon Activities

 

The “Activity” tab has been added. This tab allows the user to view prior activities done via their login. This information was previously viewed by selecting the “More” hyperlink under “Logon Settings”.

 

 

 

 

 
5. Accounts
 

The ‘View Accounts” hyperlink has now replaced the “More” hyperlink. Selecting the “View Accounts” hyperlink allows tax accounts not previously shown in the default view to be displayed. Selecting this hyperlink also displays address information related to each account.

6. Submission of Returns

 

Available options related to return submission are now available via the “I Want To” section.\

7. Submissions View

  • The Submissions display has changed, submissions (submitted and not submitted) will now be displayed in a vertical flow. Previously the list of submissions was displayed based on the tab selected.
  • The submissions/requests that were classified as “Not submitted” for processing to TAJ will be seen under the “Draft” category. Previously these were viewed via the “Not Submitted” tab.

8. New Functionality

  • Where the number of submissions exceeds 100, the user will be able to select a date range to only display the submissions made within the specific dates selected.
