Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) wishes to advise the public that it will conduct system update activities beginning at the end of the business day on Thursday July 5, 2018 to the start of business on Monday July 9, 2018. During the period, legacy data will be migrated from its previous system to the Revenue Administration Information System (RAiS) platform. The scheduled update will result in the Portmore Tax Office being closed on Saturday July 7, 2018 to facilitate the update.
Taxpayers will not be able to access the online GCT Withholding Tax Certificate (GCTWTC) service during the period, this means that activities relating to the issuance and cancellation of GCTWTC will be suspended. Additionally, persons will not be able to reprint any Returns filed prior to the implementation of RAiS until the update activity has been completed.
Taxpayers are reminded that they have the option of conducting several tax transactions online at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm to include the filing of all major tax types as well as Traffic Ticket, Property Tax and Fitness Fee payments.
Tax Administration Jamaica apologizes for any inconvenience this necessary system update will cause, as it improves its tax administrative capabilities to serve the public even better. The Portmore office will be re-open for business on Monday July 9, 2018.
